To Whom It May Concern:
It is a sincere pleasure to recommend Grant Dewey for a middle school or high school teaching position in science and I do so without hesitation.
My knowledge of Grant’s teaching and administrative abilities comes from my association with him while he was a student in the Teacher Education Program at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and my observation of his teaching/administrative career. I was his advisor, taught him in three classes, and supervised his fall and spring teaching experiences. Fortunately he took a position teaching science in the school district where I reside so I was able to closely follow his teaching career.
Throughout his program, Grant demonstrated superb academic abilities. He is well prepared to teach any of the sciences. He demonstrated mastery in planning, presentation, and use of a variety of teaching techniques. Appropriate and effective interactions with the students were demonstrated strengths. Additionally, his computer technology skills are excellent.
Grant maintained appropriate professional relationships with students, parents, associates, and administration. I view Grant as the kind of faculty member who will volunteer to take on extra responsibilities and collaborate easily with his colleagues. He takes constructive feedback well, actively seeks advice on ways to improve, and has excellent reflective skills. Grant has outstanding people skills.
Mr. Dewey is a professional educator of the highest quality. He has skills, talents, and abilities to approach new areas and challenges with a great sense of commitment and excitement.
The excitement of new challenges pulled Grant away from public school teaching. He dedicated his teaching and administrative skills to the private sector through his work in Master Drive. Master Drive offers the highest quality driver’s education program in the region.
Personally, I am very pleased to learn that he is planning to return to teaching in the region. Grant has what it takes to be successful in whatever he does. As a lifetime educator, I selfishly want his talents directed toward helping kids develop and learn.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can provide additional information.
Sincerely,
